Cummins 2007 ISB is the perfect engine to power your school bus. Reliable, efficient and quiet, the ISB delivers the power you need to transport students on time, safely and dependably.
The ISB reduces exhaust emissions by 90%. Ratings are increased to 325 hp. Yet the 2007 ISB maintains its excellent fuel efficiency.
To achieve this balance of improved emissions and performance, we've increased the displacement (from 5.9 to 6.7 liters) added a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VG Turbo) and increased the number of injection events per combustion cycle. These upgrades enhance the position of the ISB as the quietest engine in its class, a big safety factor in school buses, along with improving vehicle performance.
Enhancements to the High Pressure Common Rail fuel system deliver the optimum balance of performance, emissions control and fuel economy across the entire operating range. The aftertreatment system is designed to operate automatically, with no impact on vehicle performance.
Maintenance has been kept to an absolute minimum, increasing your uptime. The ISB continues to lead its class with the lowest total cost of ownership.
The base warranty plan reflects the absolute confidence that Cummins has in the design and manufacture of the ISB, a confidence born of over 3 million engines at work around the globe.
