The QSK19 high-pressure injection system and electronic controls ensure clean, powerful and efficient operation every time. The ECM continuously monitors data from strategically placed sensors within the engine, optimizing the fuel-to-air mixture for maximum combustion. Fuel is injected at pressures exceeding 25,000 psi. This results in better utilization of fuel with fewer emissions. Getting more energy out of every drop of diesel fuel also results in more power.

This is an engine that goes beyond meeting government standards. The latest version of this proven performer takes technology to the next level, meeting Tier 2 emissions standards without compromise. Fuel economy, horsepower, torque rise, transient response and service intervals match the high levels achieved by the Tier 1 models.

Cummins, Fleetguard and Valvoline have teamed up to develop extended service filters and lubricants that let you go beyond the 500-hour standard oil change interval, with reduced downtime and cleaner operation.

Noise reduction packages are available with up to 3 dBA additional noise reduction.

Minimum maintenance has been built into every QSK19 engine. For example: the articulated pistons last 30% longer until the first rebuild and give an additional 30% longer life after it. Even the oil seals have been engineered so they're never exposed to contaminants - for virtually leak-free operation.

Cummins QSK19 engines require an oil change every 250 hours.

The base warranty includes full coverage on every QSK19 engine and branded components, including electrics such as starters and alternators for unlimited hours during the first year of operation, extending through 2 years or 2,000 hours (whichever comes first). The base warranty also includes 3-year/10,000-hour standard protection on major components.

Three simple steps explain everything you need to know:

Step One: Full coverage on all Cummins industrial engines and branded components with unlimited hours during the first year of operation. This includes Cummins branded electrics such as alternators, starters, etc.

Step Two: Full coverage is extended for the second year, up to 2,000 hours of operation. Total hours are cumulative from the time the engine goes in service.

Step Three: Major components coverage including block, crankshaft, camshaft and rods on all products for the third year or up to 10,000 hours of operation.
