QSL Image

Everyone who's ever worked a farm knows there is no substitute for power. That's why Cummins QSL comes with a torque rise of up to 50% and a peak torque of 1200 lb-ft. It handles the toughest pulls and the roughest work conditions. At the same time, the QSL delivers better fuel economy, has better cold-starting capability and is up to 50% quieter in operation.

Plus, the heavy-duty design of the QSL engine block and components adds reliability and durability you can count on every day, season after season.

Ratings range from 250-350 hp (186-261 kW), with High-Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system for strong performance at every rpm. A low-maintenance filter assembly is just one of many standard features that minimize downtime for maintenance. Among the many options that let you customize your QSL are Rear Engine Power Take-Off (REPTO) and accessory drives.

Getting the right combination to match your equipment, operating environment and workloads has never been easier. Cummins PowerMatch and Advisor are ready to provide expert assistance with your installation and spec'ing process.

Every QSL engine is covered by Cummins three-step warranty, one of the most comprehensive and simplest plans in the industry.

The QSL is compatible with high sulfur fuels. So whether you're farming in Peoria, Peru or Pakistan, the QSL is a workhorse you can count on. Every time.

QSL Series engines currently meet Tier 2 and Stage II emissions standards, and QSL Series engines - available in June 2005 - will meet every Tier 3 and Stage IIIA emissions standard with minimal changes. The advanced QSL engine platform will be carried forward to Tier 4 and Stage IV through 2015.

Cummins QSL engines are built to deliver heavy-duty performance in every piece of farm machinery. Full-authority electronic engine controls combine with the high-pressure fuel system, 24-valve design and centered injectors for one of the highest power-to-weight ratios in its class.

The fact that the QSL runs 34% quieter at rated speeds and up to 50% quieter at idle is one performance feature that you won't hear much about.

QSL engines are designed to run up to 500 hours between scheduled maintenance stops, including oil, oil filter and fuel filter changes.

Plus, extended service filters and lubricants developed jointly by Cummins, Fleetguard and Valvoline let you go beyond 500-hour standard oil change intervals, with reduced downtime and cleaner operation.

So you get more uptime on every piece of QSL-powered equipment that you run.

For complete maintenance information, please consult your Owner's Manual or Operations and Maintenance Manual.
The base warranty includes full coverage on every QSB engine and branded components, including electrics such as starters and alternators for unlimited hours during the first year of operation, extending through 2 years or 2,000 hours (whichever comes first). The base warranty also includes 3-year/10,000-hour standard protection on major components.

Three simple steps explain everything you need to know:

Step One: Full coverage on all Cummins industrial engines and branded components with unlimited hours during the first year of operation. This includes Cummins branded electrics such as alternators, starters, etc.

Step Two: Full coverage is extended for the second year, up to 2,000 hours of operation. Total hours are cumulative from the time the engine goes in service.

Step Three: Major components coverage including block, crankshaft, camshaft and rods on all products for the third year or up to 10,000 hours of operation.

Extended coverage is available with our Encompass Protection Plans with the flexibility to meet the needs of your agriculture operation.  Cummins Encompass has you covered, around the clock and around the globe.

Getting every installation right - the first time - is as important to Cummins as it is to you. PowerMatch and Advisor help ensure that we get it right, every time.

PowerMatch.

Cummins partners with OEM engineers to test and match the power of the QSL engine to specific equipment models and applications. We use our advanced electronics to shape power curves and ratings to match the jobs your equipment will be doing, taking into account the working environment, load factors, ambient temperatures and operating modes. Then we optimize the engine's performance with other vehicle components, using Advisor.

Advisor.

Advisor software builds a virtual model to make sure every system (air, intake, exhaust, cooling) is integrated for optimum performance. It takes into account everything from load factors to operating climates to duty cycles - then identifies systems or components that could negatively impact reliability - listing alternatives that will deliver the performance you expect the first time - every time.
