The Right Technology Matters.
At Cummins, we recognize that on-highway and off-highway equipment operate in very different environments. And they are governed by different regulations. So it only makes sense that we've developed different technologies to meet every emissions goal while providing our customers with superior levels of productivity, operating efficiency, dependability and durability.
On-Highway Applications.
Want to find out what's making our 2007 Cummins engines so popular with customers? Check out our 2007 Technology video (English or Français version).
Our 2007 engines are nearly identical to prior models. We've added a particulate filter to achieve the new PM levels. But our base engine technology is virtually the same, so you can expect the same durable, dependable, responsive performance that Cummins engines are known to deliver.
Right Technology for 2010.
Are you wondering what our technology solution will be for 2010? If so, we've got some great news. Our 2010 on-highway solutions will use proven technology and the same core components that make today's Cummins engines so fuel-efficient and reliable.
Our Heavy-Duty engines will meet the new emissions requirements with an integrated technology solution that includes an XPI High Pressure Common Rail (HPCR) fuel system, next-generation cooled Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), advanced electronic controls, proven air handling and the Cummins Particulate Filter. No NOx aftertreatment is needed.
Cummins MidRange engines will use an SCR solution that, by 2010, will have already been working in thousands of commercial vehicles across Europe for four years.

Off-Highway Equipment.
No matter what type of equipment, no matter where it runs, Cummins provides your business with the power to succeed, every time.
Our Tier 3/Stage IIIA engines are the the most dependable in the industry and continue to reach greater levels of productivity, durability and uptime for our customers.
We will move forward to meet Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB emissions in 2011, using proven base engine platforms, and achieve emissions compliance with an incremental technology approach and fully integrated systems.
