Cummins is meeting the 2007 emissions standards with a totally integrated system from air intake to exhaust aftertreatment.

It includes our proven cooled-EGR subsystem, an electrically actuated VG Turbo, a proprietary Cummins Particulate Filter and a crankcase ventilation system with a coalescing filter - all managed by a single Electronic Control Module. Every element has been designed and manufactured to optimize performance and minimize maintenance. Ratings range from 385-600 hp.

Design features include Dual Overhead Camshafts (DOHC) and the standard Intebrake™ system* which delivers up to 600 braking horsepower. Several engine features are available to help you improve mpg further such as Load-Based Speed Control and Gear-Down Protection. It's no wonder the ISX is the fuel economy leader.

The unique Dual Overhead Cam (DOHC) design of the ISX has a proven track record of superior performance - accelerating up a mountain or cruising down the backside. One camshaft drives the high-pressure fuel injection system. The second camshaft has lobes that optimize operation of the built-in Intebrake,*™ delivering up to 600 braking horsepower. The ISX For 2007 will deliver the same kind of durable, reliable, powerful performance you've come to expect.

The patented Holset VG Turbo continuously adjusts airflow to reduce turbo lag, improve transient response and increase vehicle performance. And now, electric actuation provides faster response and improved precision in adjusting airflow to the engine.

Even with added emissions controls, the ISX will retain its fuel economy leadership. You can expect comparable mpg numbers to EPA '02-certified and compliant engines.

To achieve the highest possible fuel economy with an ISX, check out the SmartTorque ratings. These engine calibrations deliver up to 200 lb-ft of extra torque in the top gears, making it possible to run longer in top gear and reap fuel economy benefits, every mile.

Other engine features are available to help improve mpg further, including Load-Based Speed Control, Gear-Down Protection and idle management.
